Mark Faulkner, of Lake of Egypt CC in Marion, Illinois, captured the first Point Event of the season with a victory at the Nike Golf Stableford Event at Westborough CC. The 3 time player of the Year in the Gateway PGA recorded 2 eagles and 9 birdies on the way to a 16 point total in the stableford scoring tournament which awards point totals for birdies and eagles, while subracting points for bogeys. Mike Suhre, of Oakbrook GC in Edwardsville was runner up with a total of 12 points. Larry Emery of Carterville, IL, captured the Senior event with a score of 66.
The Gateway PGA moves on to Osage National Golf Club in Osage Beach, MO, for the AHead Central Missouri Classic on April 21st. |
